Oliseh makes ‘shock’ arrival at Eagles Camp

Sunday-Oliseh

Super Eagles Coach Sunday Oliseh, Friday evening arrived at the Presidential Hotel camp of the home-based Eagles ahead of the 2016 African Nations Championship, CHAN final round, first leg qualifier against Etalons of Burkina Faso.
There have been so much misinformation about the Eagles gaffer as contradictory statements have come from the media arm of the Nigeria Football Federation as well as from the Super Eagles camp.
The NFF had initially denied earlier media report that Oliseh was ill and would miss the Burkina Faso game; saying then that Oliseh was not sick and would be in Camp on Thursday only for a contrary announcement to come out from the Eagles camp admitting that Oliseh was sick and would be coming in on Sunday.

But in a somewhat surprise manner, Oliseh breezed in Friday night to the delight of the home-based players and the assistant coaches who are already battle-ready for the Etalons.
Many expect Oliseh to take an advisory role in Saturday’s game having not been part of the build-up all along.
Nigeria is targeting its second straight qualification for the CHAN tournament having finally broke the jinx in 2014 where she made it to South Africa to feature in the competition reserved for senior players plying their trade in their country’s domestic league.
The winner over two legs between Nigeria and Burkina Faso will be eligible for a place at the 4th African Nations Championship taking place in Rwanda early next year.
