Recently, the streets of Benin City the State Capital were filled with a section of women on red in a protest supporting Esama of Benin Chief Igbinedion and pouring insults on the Governor of Edo State Adams Oshiomole for disrespecting the Esama. However it was learnt that the course was actually sponsored by Chief Igbinedion and friends. But in order to negate the previously supposed sponsored protest, the women of Edo came out in their numbers putting on white which signifies purity, goodness and tranquility, today to support and sing praises of the Comrade Governor Adams Oshiomole for his leadership qualities, and for taking Edo State to the level it is today. According to them, Edo State was in a state of collapse but with the advent of Adams Oshiomole as Governor, the State has witnessed increasing rate of development in almost every facet of Edo State Structure. Taking a look at the level of development in Edo State today, one would agree with these women and many Edo citizens that the Comrade Governor has done immensely well and deserves praises. He is known for his doggedness, valour, discipline, transparency, un-godfatherism, humility, truthfulness and many other good qualities. Though members of the opposition party and their colleagues do not see him from that perspective, they rather see him as a dictator. May be because of his no nonsense and disciplinary attitude.
