Bayelsa Decides: Thugs Reportedly Snatch Ballot

THE rerun governorship election in Ogbia Local government  of Bayelsa State commenced Saturday morning as thugs disrupted the accreditation exercise at Otuopoti community  in Ogbia Local Government area of the state.
Voting materials for Amatolo community & INEC adhoc staff stranded due to lack of security.

There were reports that officers of the Nigerian Navy on Friday December 8, arrested two suspected political thugs in the Peremabiri community of Southern Ijaw area.
The thugs were said to have been hired by one of the political parties to disrupt the gubernatorial election scheduled to hold today.
The thugs also snatched INEC voting materials and threw them into the river before soldiers shot into the air to scare them away. The materials were later retrieved from the river.
