God is Angry With President Buhari...

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has yet again, lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari over the way he has handled Nigeria since he came into power.

Fayose, who had vowed never to stop attacking the president, told journalists on Tuesday, March 22, that God is angry with him (Buhari), hence the unending bloodshed in the country.

The outspoken governor was speaking against the backdrop of recent violent reports that characterized the rerun elections in Rivers, where a youth corps member was among those confirmed dead during the series of attacks. 

According to Vanguard, Fayose said that President Buhari oversaw elections that were remarkably bloody adding that power belonged to God and should not be abused by any individual no matter how highly placed they are. 

“I am telling you the truth. Power doesn’t come from anywhere. God rules in the affairs of men. Oppressing, bringing and cutting people down, taking their blood, God is angry. 

The way this government is taking people down, God is angry. God isn’t happy. Go to Rivers, they kill people. “Go to Akwa Ibom, they kill people. Go to Bayelsa, they kill people, incarcerate innocent people. God is angry with Buhari. You can’t continue to take the blood of the innocent. Look at my predictions for the year 2016 for Nigeria, everything has come to pass.

“This is a different ball game. He that will take me, he that will go against me must first of all defeat God. If these were the kind of violence that greeted Buhari’s election would he ever be president?” Fayose queried. 

Governor Fayose also gave his opinion on the possible outcome of the just-concluded retreat of the National Economic Council (NEC) in Abuja, stating vehemently that the present economic situation in the country indicates that President Buhari lacks technical competence to solve the country’s challenges. 

The governor had also stated on Monday, March 21, that he has been waiting for President Buhari to declare state of emergency in Ekiti state but warned that imposing state of emergency on Rivers and Ekiti state will not work in both states. 

He insisted that power has gone back to the people but cautioned leaders to beware of the actions they take while in office as such decision may hunt them in the future. When asked his thoughts on the possible declaration of state of emergency in Rivers, he said: “They have been insinuating that too in Ekiti. 

We have been waiting for them. Power has gone beyond the leaders; power has gone back to the people.”
